Summer Series | Syb Cosmetics

It's easy to fall in love with a brand when there's a lot of care and compassion behind their products.  Syb Cosmetics is a family-run company that is inspired by the memory of their grandmother, Sybil Barrier.  Every product was created with events from her life in mind - from the year she was born, 1933,  to her husband, lovingly called Poppy.  There's a story behind each product!  Today we'll take a look at their Butter Batters in Taffy and Ivey.

Taffy |  That gorgeous hue of coral that brings to mind the warm colors and feeling of summertime.  In this case, it's also inspired by Sybil's love of salt water taffy!  This sweet color will bring life and color to any of your looks, all while feeling smooth and silky on the lips.  There's no stickiness with this Taffy!  I love pairing this shade with light shimmery tones so it remains the focal point.

Ivey |  This color was named in memory of Alene Ivey Rostan, a grandmother and makeup lover at heart.  I love how this shade has brought me out of my comfort zone and inspired me to look at certain shades in a whole new light.  While it certainly is purple, it has a slight brown undertone which makes it extremely wearable and much more flattering than a typical purple gloss might be.  I found a new surprise favorite in this shade and I think this will be even more gorgeous in the fall and winter!

The formula of these Butter Batters is silky and not the least bit sticky.  They glide on effortlessly without any patchiness and don't emphasize fine lines.  They're just as buttery as the name implies!  The pigmentation is amazing as well.  You could apply the tiniest amount for sheer color but these really have great color payoff overall.  I've worn them on their own as well as over light nude lipsticks and they wear beautifully!
